Idiots Guide: Top 10 Racist Cities in The United States

For the sake of clarity this list is not a blanket indictment of the cities and citizens of these listed cities. The criteria for this list is founded on reported hate crime statistics in a given year. Hate crimes being identified and described as those based on racial discrimination, ethnic discrimination, as well as crimes based on sexual orientation. Clearly, the larger a population the more reported crime. However, these statistics don’t lie and it is important to highlight the places where racial and ethnic discrimination seem to flourish. Also of interest is the lack of traditionally southern confederate cities on this list. The United States has come a very long way in terms of race relations, however we still have a way to go on the arduous road to a truly ‘post racial’ society. These numbers aren’t egregious in and of themselves especially when compared to the 1950’s and 60’s, however we aren’t exactly at zero yet either.
